Introduction

Sainte Maxime, overlooks the Gulf of Saint Tropez and is a delightful seaside resort. The beach in front of the town give it a picturesque charm while the port and marina offer the novice sailor an opportunity to improve his skills!

 

 

The town

The bustling town has numerous restaurants offering a variety of Provençal dishes and other styles of cooking to suit all tastes and pockets. There is an array of shops and an abundance of street cafes to enjoy a coffee or aperitiff. Enjoy the evenings with live music in one of the many bars or take the boat to Saint Tropez. During high season there are many outdoor concerts and firework displays that take place on the beach. Stroll down the back streets and enjoy browsing at the market stalls or simply sit and sip a cool glass of wine and watch the world go by.

Activities

For the more adventurous there are many things to do and see; hiring a boat, learning to sail, horse riding, climbing through trees or having fun at the water park. No matter what your age something is bound to appeal.The area offers a number of excellent golf courses with the bonus of some beautiful views.The glamourous resorts of Cannes, Nice, Port Grimaud, St Raphael, Frejus and St Tropez are all an easy car journey away. Why not visit the beautiful towns of Mougins, St Paul de Vence or even follow the aptly titled Corniche Sublime with unparalled views of the Gorges du Verdun.
