Both regions boast an almost all year round microclimate, allow golfers play on an abundance of championship courses in near perfect conditions. There are over 50 golf courses within an hour's drive from the villa. We have listed just a few to whet your appetite.

Cote d'Azur

Few places in the world combine such stunning natural beauty with the ultimate in sophistication and elegance as does the French Riviera, the reason it seduces the rich, famous and plain curious. The Alps shelter this glittering coastline with wide sandy beaches and secluded coves that stretch along the celebrity resorts of St. Tropez, Cannes and Nice as far as the exclusive principality of Monaco

 

Sainte Maxime

Situated behind Sainte Maxime, the course offers spectacular views of the gulf of St Tropez. Lying between the sea and the forest of cork oaks, the course is quite technical and deploys its 18 holes across 65 hectares. Practice range, putting green and chipping green.

Location: The course can be seen from the villa and is a 5 minute drive away

Le Beauvallon

Situated near Sainte Maxime and the Gulf of St. Tropez this former 9 hole was founded in 1930 and in 1996 added a further 9 holes. An old charming course that is very forgiving due to its wide and flat fairways, although there are some demanding holes like the 8 th with water.

Sainte Endreol

This course of impeccably maintained fairways is sculpted by the multiple facets of this seductive and varied landscape, creating the perfect golf experience for all levels of play. Each of the holes has its own personality : the 13th hole, with its intimidating precipice and green set on the river l'Endre, is but one of the temptations and challenges awaiting golfers.

Valescure

An established course (1895) winding attractively through the umbrella pine trees. Driving range and putting green.

Location: 25 minutes drive, about five km east of St. Raphael

Provence

A region that offers everything from beautiful beaches to colourful village markets, ancient towns and narrow country lanes. The area is blessed with many wine-producing farms and is renowned for its excellent cuisine.

 

Barbaroux

The course is without doubt one of the toughest tests of golf in the region, designed by Pete & PB Dye it opened in 1988. Although difficult it's a magnificent course offering many water hazards, well-positioned bunkers and dog-legs.

Valcros

Designed by Hawtree & Son, has received high reputation since its opening in 1964.  The course stretches along a river with some narrow fairways requiring skill and accuracy from the tee.
